Conifer Lodge

Conifer Lodge in Cambridgeshire is a specialist service for men with a Learning Disability or who are on the Autistic Spectrum.

Some of the men staying with us also have a mental health or long-term physical condition. Some of our residents stay with us long-term, others just for a short time before moving on. We also offer respite care for individuals living in the community who might benefit from a change of scene.

Age range: men over the age of 18 years.

What we do

Conifer Lodge, our service in Cambridgeshire is purposely small, with just 13 en-suite bedrooms.  Conifer Lodge  is not a typical residential service as our primary aim is to help individuals improve to a point where they no longer need to stay within our service.  We don’t just focus on self-care and daily living skills, we look at building confidence through the learning of new skills and encouraging the trying out of new hobbies and activities.

Our residents and their families are totally involved in developing their own care plans and in choosing the way they live their lives. We actively encourage our residents to pursue their hobbies and to try out new experiences and learn new skills.

We support our residents to live the very best lives they can both on site and off -site. By believing in better, we help our residents to achieve more every day and to continue to develop and grow.

Our teams are experienced at supporting adults with Learning Disabilities. We want every individual we look after to feel as if they are being supported by a family member and to feel completely at home and at ease in our service.

We also offer a range of on-site therapies including Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Clinical Psychology.

We are fully accredited by the National Autistic Society to make sure that the support and care our residents receive is of the highest standard.

Conditions we manage

We support men aged 18 years and older who have been diagnosed as being on the Autistic Spectrum or with Asperger’s Syndrome.  They may or may not also have a mental health or long-term physical condition such as:

  • Bipolar disorder
  • Diabetes
  • Epilepsy
  • Schizophenia

Thank you notes from the Country and Western day at Conifer Lodge

Amazing day, wonderful music and costumes, well done to all the staff and residents. Keep it up, you are all amazing. I must write to thank you for the lovely day we had at the Country and Western.  All the tremendous work that went into it beforehand, I wanted it to go on and on…

I’ve had such a fantastic placement

Thank you so much for making this placement so awesome for me, I’ve had such a fantastic placement and have felt so welcomed by you all.

It is obvious that both the staff and the residents benefit greatly

We very much enjoyed the BBQ and music with you last week.  It is obvious that both the staff and the residents benefit greatly from such events and we feel privileged to be included.  The food once again was delicious and the great entertainment certainly added to the day.  Well done.

We have received several compliments about your staff

My manager has asked me to email you to let you know how impressive your staff were at our summer party in June. We have received several compliments about your staff who not only took part in the fancy dress but supported their guys in such a way that is noticed by many.   Your staff…

We are happy to be part of the Conifer family
