About Linlathen Neurodisability Centre

The centre has 48 beds, 12 of which comprises of a 12-bed specialist care unit, Bridgeview, which offers a spacious and therapeutic environment designed specifically to meet the needs of adults with conditions such as Huntington's Disease and associated challenging behaviours. Our staff have a good understanding of Huntington's Disease and undergo extensive training, both in-house and through external agencies such as The Scottish Huntington's Association, to ensure that they are able to provide the highest level of care. We recognise that living with Huntington's Disease can result in loss of self-esteem and feelings of acute vulnerability, and therefore aim to help our clients to regain their confidence, encouraging participation in the range of activities that are provided. We use a person-centred and empathic approach to care, endeavouring to maximise each individual's ability to live independently and, wherever possible, to stabilise the client's condition.

Situated in a pleasant semi-rural location on the outskirts of Dundee, Linlathen benefits from a wide range of local amenities and attractions in nearby Broughty Ferry. The centre has spacious modern facilities, designed and equipped to meet the specific needs of clients and families.
