Peter Gidney Neurodisability Centre provides care for younger adults with Neurodisabilities, this may be for short term respite care or on a more permanent basis. Our team are there to provide 24 hour support and care for our residents, maintaining the dignity and individuality of our residents is an important priority for us all.
A general practitioner visits the centre twice a week to ensure the medical needs of our clients are well managed, and the centre has a very close working relationship with other external health care providers, including dieticians and speech and language therapists.
Peter Gidney is situated in extensive, mature landscaped grounds in a rural setting, but close to the town of Dartford, the grounds are shared with Beechcare Care Home. There are secluded small garden areas where residents and their families can enjoy the country side views. A large patio and summer house at the front of the home is used for many garden events during the summer. We have a light and spacious lounge where residents can listen to music or watch TV with family or friends. All our rooms are for single occupancy and have en-suite toilets, and many also have showers. Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms.
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) are responsible for inspecting Peter Gidney Neurodisability Centre.
