Our service aims to help those who, have, as a result of their brain injury moderate to severe:

• Physical, for example: difficulty walking.

It is our belief that, when clients are involved as partners in the planning, development and assessment of their own care to ensure that it meets their specific needs, better results are achieved for the individual and their families. We promote a holistic approach to rehabilitation where physical, social, medical, spiritual and cultural needs are all considered.
This person-centred holistic approach plays a key role to daily life at Stocksbridge.
Stocksbridge Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre (SBIRC) is committed to a model of rehabilitation and specialist long-term care, which enables adults affected by brain injury, stroke or other neurological conditions to achieve as independent a lifestyle as possible. We believe in a partnership model, and have introduced SMART assesments at Stocksbridge, a model which acknowledges the need to involve the service user, and those who will be involved in his/her future rehabilitation/care, as well as in goal and future planning.
Stocksbridge Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre has been recognised as an approved provider by Sheffield City Council.
Stockbridge has also become an accredited provider of neuro-rehabilitation by Headway.

Observing the improvement in patients placed with us, is one of the best parts of my job
I am passionate about the effective delivery of the service we deliver here at Stocksbridge Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre. We work closely with the NHS to offer a seamless partnership for patients transitioning from an acute NHS setting to beginning their rehabilitation programme with us. Our dymamic and experienced multi-disciplinary team place the patients at the heart of everything we do, setting clear objectives and goals that are attainable and provide clarity for our patients, their families and the referrer.
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) are responsible for inspecting Stocksbridge Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre.
I love it here
When my brother came into Stocksbridge, we were all so worried and not sure if he would ever get better or make any progress. He improved really quickly ( 3 months ) with his speech, personal care and much more. Months later its amazing how far he has come and it couldnt of been without all the hard work of all the different members of staff ( doctors, physios, speech therapists, nurses, psychologists ) everyone involved. I never imagined my brother would be at this stage now even though we knew deep down he would always do well. Thank you to everybody at Stocksbridge Neuro Centre.
