The Huntercombe Centre - Sunderland is a modern purpose built unit providing addictions treatments including alcohol and drug detoxification along with methadone/subutex stabilitation and drug and alcohol rehabilitation programmes to adults.

About The Huntercombe Centre - Sunderland

The centre provides alcohol/drug detoxification along with methadone/subutex stabilisation. In addition to this it offers a twelve week therapeutic programme as well as a four week intensive programme. We provide 24 hour nursing care as well as a Unit Medical Officer, a team of therapists and support staff.

The centre is a purpose built facility on the outskirts of Sunderland, close to local ammenities and major transport links including the A1, mainline stations and Newcastle International Airport. All the bedrooms are single with en-suite facilities, a gym and a range of communal areas where clients can read or watch television on the flatscreens.

We provide a caring environment to assist clients when detoxing or undergoing rehab.

The unit has a multi-skilled team of dedicated professionals whose goal is to support clients into recovery. The aim of the unit is to develop staff to ensure they can provide evidence based techniques/therapies in managing people with substance misuse problems. We aim to treat clients holistically and build into our care plans any other problems such as depression, poor mobility and housing/financial issues as these problems can sometimes be at the root of a client’s addiction.
