We provide specialist complex care services for children.
Located in Hartlepool, Granville Lodge is purposely small, with seven beds. We are located in an adapted Victorian house in a quiet residential street in Hartlepool. We look after children and young people who cannot be cared for at home, most commonly because they need a high level of skilled care.
While the children staying with us have clinical needs, we have taken great care to ensure our centre still feels like a family home. Children staying with us permanently can decorate their own rooms, just as they can at home, and we encourage our young people, wherever possible, to be part of the running of their home and to try out new experiences.
We understand that all the children we support have different needs, so alongside their key workers, families, and medical professionals we ensure that the support we provide is bespoke in every detail. Each child has a comprehensive support plan which covers every aspect of their care and support, taking in to account any concerns and issues that may arise and ensuring all needs and requirements are met enabling them to live the very best life possible.
We organise plenty of trips out so that our young people can enjoy all the usual fun family activities on offer. Popular choices are Butterfly World and the Alan Shearer Centre. We also offer short-breaks for young people who normally live at home with their families.
Our wonderful team understand that a holistic approach is necessary to ensure those in our care are safe, happy, and healthy. We promote and fulfil the company values of being caring, honest, pro-active, and empowering for those we support.
We believe we give our children a level of personal caring support not matched elsewhere. We are also ambitious for the young people we look after. We believe in each and every one of them and their potential to live a better life.

At Granville Lodge we focus on our residents needs, having a small capacity we’re able to provide a higher quality of individual care.
Activity room
We have an activity room allowing residents to play games or create their own artistic masterpieces, this is their creative space.
Sensory room
Our sensory room provides comfort and joy, allowing residents to relax and simply enjoy themselves.
Two separate lounges
Two separate lounges for games, activities allow for our residents to interact within a communal setting.
Private garden
We have a large private garden allowing for our residents to enjoy the beauty of nature in a secure, safe place.
Minibus for outings
Day trips and other outings are always pre-planned and we like to travel in style with our own minibus allowing for safe travel.
