It’s extremely rare for something to go wrong. But we’re aware that if it were to, we need to know about it so that we can put things right. It’s vital that patients, relatives or staff members should be able to report any concerns without fear of repercussions.
At Huntercombe, we expect honesty, integrity and fairness from everyone.
If you encounter a problem, we hope you’d feel able to raise your concern with the manager of your hospital or centre so that we can investigate. But we also know that, for understandable reasons, people sometimes feel worried about doing this. That’s why we now employ an outside company called Safecall to provide a “whistleblowing hotline”. Safecall is a company that specialises in the confidential handling of whistleblowing calls and emails.
If you have a concern or suspicion, you can call Safecall anonymously on 0800 915 1571 and tell them what’s worrying you. Or you can file an anonymous report on their website, Safecall.

The firm is entirely independent of Huntercombe. Whistleblowing is all they do. Nothing else.
The Safecall hotline is available for staff, patients and relatives. Safecall will listen to you sensitively, without interruption. And if English is not your first language, that’s no problem, either. They work in more than 170 languages.
What happens next? After a complaint, Safecall compiles a report of the allegation and passes it on to a nominated Huntercombe director for investigation. No one here at Huntercombe will ever find out the name of the complainant.
That way, if things go wrong, we can move swiftly to put them right.
