Cedar held their annual summer fete in August.
On the 12th August we held our annual Cedar summer fete, and fun was had by all. All departments came together to make this a special event. One of our charge nurses formed a Cedar House Band, the biggest surprise on the stage were our patients who sung solos and were outstanding. We had all our stalls outside as the sun was shining, the bunting was out and we had a surprise visitor – a donkey named Chester! A patient’s parent quoted “it’s so nice to see the people who care for my son and I can see them as people not just carers” others quoted how much they had enjoyed their time and had a great day doing things that families got to do together. The most praise came from our patients who kept saying thank you to staff for the great day they had for us at Cedar. That’s what counts: happy, engaged, smiling, laughing patients, makes all the effort worthwhile!
