We treat individuals from the age of 18 with an acquired or traumatic brain injury.
Our service is for individuals who are medically stable with complex physical and cognitive difficulties and challenging behaviours resulting from a brain injury. We are experienced at managing people with PEGS and patients in low states of arousal who require a SMART (Sensory Modality Assessment and Rehabilitation Technique) assessment. Some patients at Blackheath have been detained under the Mental Health Act 1983 (amended 2007) or are here under a Deprivation of Liberty Safeguard (DoLS) order.
