We treat individuals from the age of 16 with an acquired or traumatic brain injury.

Our service is for individuals who are medically stable with complex physical and cognitive difficulties, challenging behaviours and neuropsychiatric disorders resulting from a brain injury. We are experienced at managing people with tracheostomies, PEGS and patients in low states of arousal who require a SMART (Sensory Modality Assessment and Rehabilitation Technique) assessment. Most of our patients present with a range of neurological impairments which may be the result of any of the following:

Anoxic brain injury

Brain tumour

Complex stroke

Infection such as meningitis or encephalitis

Subarachnoid haemorrhage

Traumatic brain injury, for example, road traffic accident
