Our Frenchay BIRU service works in partnership with North Bristol NHS Trust, the regional major trauma and neurosurgical centre covering the South West of England.
In October 2011, the stability and longevity of this partnership arrangement was recognised and we together won the Laing and Buisson Award for the Best Public Private Partnership for co-operation and performance demonstrating outstanding patient outcomes. Our Frenchay team of specialists deliver lectures to students on the Post Graduate Principles of Neurosciences course at the University of West of England (UWE) and are regularly invited to talk at specialist brain injury conferences both in the UK and abroad. We are members of the Independent Neurorehabilitation Provider Alliance (INPA) and are supporters of Headway, the brain injury association.
North Bristol NHS Trust provides hospital and community healthcare to the residents of Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset. Their aim is to deliver exceptional healthcare for all patients and carers.
INPA are a group of independent specialist health and social care providers who share the common goal of ensuring the delivery of excellent care in neurorehabilitation.
Headway is a charity set up to give help and support to people affected by brain injury.
UWE Bristol is a thriving, modern university, offering a wide range of highly respected courses and employment-enhancing opportunities.
