There are two buildings on our 12 acre site: the original Manor House and a separate brain injury rehabilitation centre. We offer a range of services from specialist rehabilitation in the months immediately following a brain injury right through to independent living for those patients preparing to go home. We also offer residential care.

Specialist Rehabilitation

Specialist Rehabilitation

We offer active short-term (approximately 12 weeks) rehabilitation for individuals who have significant physical, speech, functional or cognitive needs that require specialist multi-disciplinary neurorehabilitation. Individuals each have identified rehabilitation goals and are provided with a structured therapy programme to help them relearn and practice functional movements and everyday skills to give them the best chance of returning home.

Slow Stream Rehabilitation

Slow Stream Rehabilitation

This service is for individuals who have already undergone rehabilitation and still require further therapy to reach their optimum level of recovery. It is also suitable for those who would find an intensive programme of care fatiguing and would make better progress on a longer less therapy-intensive programme.

Residential Care

Residential Care

This service is located in the original manor house and is suitable for those individuals who, as a result of their brain injury, are unable to live at home independently. Whilst they may not have complex nursing needs or require regular therapy, they do need round the clock support to manage everyday tasks, to keep safe and to have a good quality of life.

Respite Care

Respite Care

A short stay at Hothfield is available for those individuals who live at home but who could benefit from a change of scene. It also offers a break for families and carers and is an opportunity to have care needs re-assessed.
