During this unprecedented time, our teams at The Huntercombe Group have been fully committed to making sure we keep all our residents, patients and staff as safe as possible during the COVID-19 pandemic.
We appreciate that it is particularly difficult for our patients and residents to be apart from their families and friends and we have been working hard to support them to keep in touch with their families and friends using technology.
The emerging evidence and guidance on COVID-19 is rapidly evolving. During the full lockdown period, we followed Government advice and asked that visitors, including family members, friends and other professionals did not visit any of our Huntercombe sites.
The Government has now moved cautiously towards its next phase and, to reflect this, we are also reviewing our visiting arrangements, in full compliance with government guidance and infection control procedures.
In general, this has meant we are able to re-open sites to personal visitors, subject to strict procedures that help us to ensure everybody remains safe. There may still be circumstances where you are asked not to visit, for example where there is an outbreak on a ward, or if you have been in contact with someone who is symptomatic or have recently experienced symptoms yourself.
In the meantime our staff will do all they can to ensure that life in our services remains as optimal as possible for everyone that we look after.
We would really appreciate your support with these measures. We are, of course, closely following and complying with the Public Health authorities and all associated guidance to ensure that we keep our residents and patients safe and that our staff are supported to continue to deliver great care.
Thank you for your co-operation.
