Our building comprises 14 flats located over three floors. On both the ground floor and the first floor there are six flats, sharing two communal kitchens. On the top floor there are a further two flats with one shared kitchen. Each flat has a bedroom, bathroom and separate living space. Our tenants are able to decorate their own flats as they choose and to add the small touches that will turn it into their own home. Kitchens are deliberately shared to encourage socialising and the opportunity for shared meals. Our tenants will be encouraged to be involved in all aspects of our service and to have a real voice about what matters to them, make realistic decisions about how they want to live and who they want to live with, actively participate in their local community and to make friendships and relationships with people on their own terms.

We also work together with another of our centres, Eldertree Lodge.

Community living with support

Community living with support

We want all our tenants to be able to live full and enjoyable lives without care provision being the focal point. To help achieve this, our tenants will be responsible, with support from our on-site team if needed, for paying their own rent, paying bills and managing their own day-to-day living. Using the My Journey in the Community Framework, each tenant will also have an individualised care plan with goals set to ensure that all aspects of an individual's wellbeing and life circumstances are considered. By considering each person as a whole, including the impact of traumatic or adverse life events, we can plan and implement ways of supporting each individual and teach new skills to replace problem behaviours.
