Whalley Road
Whalley Road in Accrington, Lancashire is a specialist residential home providing nursing care, support and rehabilitation to adults with a mental illness or learning disability.
Some of our residents stay with us longer-term, others just for a short time before moving on.
Age range: Adults over the age of 18 years.
What we do
Our primary aim is to help individuals improve to a point where they are able to move on from our service. We aim to build confidence through the learning of new skills and encouraging the individuals in our care to try out new hobbies and activities.
Our residents and their families are completely involved in developing their own care plans and in choosing the way they live their lives.
By believing in better, we help our residents to achieve more every day and to continue to develop and grow. We use the nationally recognised ‘Recovery Star’ model to help the people we care for recognise the goals they achieve.
Our team are very experienced in supporting adults with mental health conditions and learning disabilities. We want every individual we look after to feel as if they are being supported by a family member and to feel completely at home and at ease in our service.
