Maidenhead’s Summer Fete 2016
After months of planning, July 21 2016 saw the Huntercombe Hospital Maidenhead Annual Summer Fete go down as ‘one of the most successful ever’.
Set in the beautiful hospital grounds, surrounded by listed trees and woodland footpaths, the Summer Fete had cake stalls, henna tattoos, music, face painting coming together to raise money for the local Alexander Devine Hospice.
Staff and patients formed teams in the infamous tug of war and inflatable bungee runs during the sports filled afternoon. Securing the coveted trophy this year was the Kennet unit who will have to defend their title in next year’s fete.
Finishing off the day’s activities was treats for all – an ice cream truck handing out free scoops, takeaway pizzas and an outdoor cinema showing the newest Jungle Book film.
Iris Cupido, Hospital Manager, said: “Everyone really looks forward to the annual fete here at Huntercombe Maidenhead Hospital. It is a great way for our entire hospital community to come together, and staff and residents alike really enjoyed all of the fun activities on offer.”
