Dr Adam Burnel

Dr Burnel completed his training in Psychiatry in 1999. He worked as a consultant in general psychiatry in Tayside until 2004 when he moved to Glasgow where he worked in Liaison Psychiatry, based at the Southern General Hospital. This entailed working in the Regional Neurology and Neurosurgery units as well as the National Spinal Injuries Unit and the Regional Rehabilitation Unit. He developed clinics for patients with general neurology diagnoses, as well as pre-surgery assessment for people with epilepsy. He was the chair of the Neuropsychiatry and Neuropsychology group within the then QIS Neurology Clinical Standards setting exercise. He is a qualified CBT practitioner and Mindfulness teacher.

Dr Burnel took up post in Murdostoun in 2014. He continues to work part time with the NHS in Glasgow and Clyde in a variety of clinical and non-clinical roles.
